Sound capture is a direct replacement for:
arecord -d 10  -t wav foobar.wav
+ gaw load file foobar.wav 
from the sound card.

Samples come directly in a datafile and can be viewed as a loaded file. You
have just to connect your real time signals to the sound card input.
